My Philosophy
I want to hear your story. We all have stories about what we’ve experienced, who we are in the world, who we are to others in our lives, and who we want to be. Understanding how our stories shape us opens the possibility of writing new ones. I believe we all have an innate capacity to heal, grow and thrive, but that it is difficult to do alone. I also believe that healing and growth happen through connection, curiosity, and trust—and that when people feel truly seen and supported, meaningful change becomes possible. My role is to collaborate with you in exploring questions you want to explore, making changes you want to make, and processing feelings or experiences you want to process. That might look like offering a different perspective, practicing a new skill, or witnessing pain that deserves a witness. My approach is collaborative, individualized, integrative, and practical. It is based on training in Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-focused Therapy, mindfulness and trauma, and informed by Narrative Therapy and experiential approaches including Coherence Therapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy.
